Cheap Ranger/Bronco 2 shifter modification
I found an old three speed shifter at a garage sale for 5 bucks. I first cut off the old shifter a couple of inches below the boot. I then cut the three speed shifter off as low as I could. I then flat sided the remaining part of the old shifter and drilled two holes thru it. I lined up the three speed shifter so that it didn't hit the dash or seat and drilled the holes thru it. I bolted it all together and stuck an old stainless door knob on it and it was done.
